Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Across the Central US and Central Appalachians

Severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds, hail and possibly a few tornadoes are expected across parts of the central Plains and the Missouri Valley. Heavy rainfall and flash flooding is also expected in the area. Thunderstorms and heavy rain may also bring additional flooding impacts to the central Appalachians. Active weather pattern continues, with addition showers and storms today and tomorrow. Muggy and warm today and tomorrow too. Drier weather returns by Friday, though we heat up for the weekend.
A cold front will bring strong to severe storms to portions of MO, IL, and IN on Wednesday, and then progress eastward into KY late in the day, possibly not until the evening or night time hours. Stay up to date on the forecast and have a plan for severe weather Wed night.
